Programming & Analysis Exam Practice Questions
- A total of 190 Questions
- Two Practice Formats:
- Quizzes: 25 questions per first 6 quizzes and 20 questions in Quiz-7 & 8. These are the same 190 questions shown in two mock exams. This format is untimed, and each question’s correct answer and feedback are shown right after you submit your answer.
- Mock Exams: Two exams with 75 questions were selected randomly from a pool of 190 questions from all content areas of the actual exam with reflected percentages. The answers to the questions with feedback will be available at the end of the exam. These are the same 190 questions shown throughout the 8 quizzes.
- Feedback as Study Source: This is the most significant feature of AreQuestions! Each question is explained extensively and supported with graphics, multiple solution methods, study, and exam tips. Most importantly, almost 80% of feedback refers test-takers to a book, chapter, and even section or graphic where you can further read/study the topic and utilize each question as a study tool.
- NCARB Content Area and Percentage Match: I have created questions from each content area with reflected percentages so your experience can be as close as to the actual exam. At the end of your test, you will receive a report that shows your achievement in each content area in either practice format.
- Mobile Access: You can easily access your questions via your phone or tablet.
- One-time payment, no subscription: Once you purchase, you will have access to the questions for 1 year. I hope you do, but if you don’t pass within the first year and need to extend your access, all you need to do is to send me an email with the screenshot of your NCARB record (hide your account information before you send please) showing that you are still testing for PA and I will give you another year or until you pass. Access dates cannot be managed per each user’s test schedule or cannot be reinstated before they expire. Please let me know after they expire and give me a minimum of 3 business days to reinstate your access.
- Note that this bundle doesn’t have Case Studies. But, similar to case study questions, there are a lot of questions that have a document attached to them, and you need to review them to answer the questions.

Difficult but helped get me the PA PASS
I found these exams to be the most challenging practice exams available, sometimes frustratingly difficult. This is not a bad thing. I went through the exams only scoring in the 50s or 60s but did well on the tests. Ultimately, it was one of the resources I used that helped me get a PASS for the PA exam on my first try in 3 weeks of studying. I've just ordered the PPD and PDD bundle. Many thanks

Congratulations! I am so happy to hear that you passed.
I get similar feedback regarding the hardness of my questions, not just for PA but for all of them :)) However, as you said, I also think it is better to “struggle” at home while practising than at the test center. I always recommend using my questions to learn the content because I cover as many content areas as possible through the questions. So, even if it feels like they are too hard or too detailed, I would still recommend everyone take the time to study the feedback and the chapters I recommend in each question.

Quiz 3 misleading and questions containing "which are not" selections
I am enjoying the PA bundle. However for Quiz 3 I found a mistake in one question. It says all building short sides are parallel to the main street which confused people the short sides are used for front setback, but in the answer, all long sides are used for front setback cal. The other I would say is no question should be asked " which are not" according to NCARB. Improvement could be made.

When two lines are parallel to each other, that means they don’t touch each other no matter how far they extend. The main road being parallel to the short side of the lot means the short side of the lot and the main road lines are parallel, and the long side of the lot is vertical to the main road lines. I included a visual to the feedback on this question and emailed it to you as well. Unfortunately, I couldn’t attach a visual here.
For your second point, yes, NCARB does not ask “which are not” type questions, but the point of my questions/materials is not to mimic NCARB. I rather try to teach the content because NCARB constantly changes the questions, and in my opinion, your best bet to pass these exams is actually learning the content. So, every now and then, when I feel like it is absolutely necessary, I ask these types of questions because I can’t find a better way to teach that content. If I do, I will add those questions too:))

Hands down...best practice questions for PA
It took me 3 times to pass this division, it wasn't until the last attempt that I decided to make these questions my main study material (I have read some chapters of books on my previous attempts). I did 2 rounds of quizzes, then I checked which questions I always got wrong, and then I went to resources and read/take notes mentioned on the answers. I took the long exam and I scored about 80%.

Amazing strategy! And thanks for sharing your experience. I am sure it will help others who are reading. PA is a tough exam and takes a few tries for many test takers, but it doesn’t mean it is impossible. Please read strategies like this carefully and start strong by reading the books I am referring to start strong and hopefully you will pass it on the first go. But even if you don’t, you will still have a much better understanding of the test/content and and what to do next.

these questions will make you understand a bit better what is read in all the reference books. Had I not understood these questions, all the reading would have not been as helpful. I read the books cover to cover and use these questions to sort out what I had read in order to apply the knowledge properly. There are no shortcuts to this task, but all in all, the questions become a great tool to become very knowledgeable of the material. In all honesty, when I took the exams, the questions just seemed very easy after going through the questions here. I am all done with AREs and I credit this material to help me get there…!!!
